Star Wars on TV

Attention Nerds: Looks like there is going to be a Star Wars TV Series. I only hope it's better than the Star Wars Holiday Special.

Wow, I really was busy - 4 new galleries under my photos page.

Some Randomness

Just a few observations / anecdotes:

- The word headbutt is totally awesome (warning: link is safe, but there are non-family friendly things at that website if you go poking around). Just say it out loud a few times and think about it. The word and the act are so funny.

- Today, while waiting for my bus in midtown, I saw either a big mouse or a small rat running around like it was on fire (it wasn't) on 5th Ave for a minute or so while the lights made that possible. I thought that the quick little bugger had better not come too close to me or I'd have to scream like a girl and maybe kick at it. This didn't last long, however, as the light changed. He would have made it if he had just stopped running while he was under the bus... Alas, he went from spirited little rodent to unidentifiable red paste in less than a minute.

- Ever have an IM conversation with someone and then it becomes 2 parallel conversations working as separate threads? I kind of like that. It feels more efficient.

- The other day my wife said, and I paraphrase, "I hate little boys that look like little girls. They creep me out." And people wonder why I married this woman...

New Website

For those of you who actually visit www.andrewdauria.com, there is a new version of my website up there. It' s a bit cleaner and simpler. I just need to get a few more photo galleries up there too.

I have switched to a new webpage creation tool (NVU) and gallery software (Web Album Generator) with an overall goal of improving the look of both the site and images. Here's hoping...

Hand Lotion

Why don't they make a hand lotion that doesn't have a girly smell to it? Men get dry hands. The Winter (may it end soon) is rough on everyone's skin. Don't I have a right, as a man, to relief from dry, cracked skin? So why market these products only to women by making them all smell like flowers? It seems that even good old neutral vaseline hand lotion has gone all girl smelly on me.

Perhaps, you might say, the ingredients that are used to lube hands are so awful smelling that they need to be masked lest you be assailed by a pack of wild dingos. Fair enough. But why not use more manly aromas to cover it up? Might I suggest the following fragrances for macho hand lotion:

- Bacon / ham / steak or other meat of choice (might not help with dingo problem)
- Garlic
- Old Spice
- Money
- Gasoline
- Cigar / pipe smoke
- Gunpowder
